Q. Will the charges for long distance service appear on my electric bill?
A. No. Trans World Network (TWN) our long distance partner will bill you monthly.
Q. Are there any codes to dial?
A. No, the changes will be totally transparent; your local telephone company will merely redirect your long distance calls.
Q. Does it matter what time of day or day of the week that I call?
A. No, the same rate applies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Q. Is this an introductory rate that will go up after we sign up?
A. No. This is an established rate.
Q. Is there a charge to switch?
A. There is no fee to enroll in the plan, however; your local telephone company charges a one-time service order fee for switching long distance providers. TWN will reimburse the customer for this charge if a copy of the local exchange provider's bill is mailed to them. The reimbursement will appear as a credit on the TWN bill.
Q. Can a non SCI REMC member take advantage of this plan?
A. Yes, this plan is available to any residence or business in the state of Indiana and is also available within other states at varied pricing.
Q. How do I switch?
A. Simply call toll free to 888-454-2002 to switch.
Q. How long will it take?
A. It will take 7-10 business days. You will receive a welcome packet from TWN.
Q. How do I get a FREE 800 number?
A. Simply tell them when you sign up for long distance that you would like an 800 # (or you can switch an existing 800#). There are no monthly fees or commitments associated with this product as well.
Q. Do you offer calling cards?
A. Yes, at the low rate of 9.5 cents per minute. You can sign up for a calling card when you switch over your long distance service.
